As I was getting off the train this afternoon, I noticed something different. Every thing I saw was a little brighter, had a little more depth, was a little more there.
In a word, it felt like spring.

Now I know that it won't be spring for quite some time, and with impending snow storms tomorrow, Thursday and the following Tuesday in addition to the idle snow covering the dorm areas and the quad, it seems like Spring is eons away.

But for some reason it doesn't feel that way anymore. I'm not sure what happened on the train. Just this morning I was complaining that I wish Spring were here already, because I was tired of the snow. And all of the sudden, after two hours on a train, everything felt alright.

Maybe it's just the waning of the tiredness that winter brings. I've been having these feelings of happiness and excitement bubbling up inside me, wanting to draw, to write, to make, to create, to play! I feel like I'm slipping away from the coldness that swallows everything in the winter.

Maybe it's that. But even if it isn't.

It's already springtime in my heart.

Happy New Year

I suppose that it might be a nice idea to restart this. A resolution if you will.
Perhaps it might have been better, I don't know, to just make a new blog instead of constantly trying to breathe life into a dead data hole, but quite frankly I don't know that I could come up with a title as clever as this again.

So let's take a look at 2009. I went to school, wrote papers, did homework, finished finals. Then it was summer! And of course, I was back in school writing paper, working and finishing finals.
Hmm. About the same.
And then in the last third of the year I did...the exact same thing as before.
So as I'm sitting watching the Twilight Zone marathon, thinking back on the year, I don't feel that I can honestly say that I accomplished much. Where is my adventure?!

And so this is the outlook I'm going to take for 2010. I'm going to take chances. I'm going to not hold back.
I'm going to finish all of the things I always said that I would.
I'm going to not idly let my goals slip away.
I'm going to make my own adventures.

I'm going to be more myself than ever.
Take that 2010.
